Dr. Narurkar graduated from The University of Texas in 1995 and the Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine in 1999.
He spent his first few years in a progressive equine and small animal practice in Washington State.
Moving closer to home, Dr. Narurkar spent 16 years as a practice owner in Canyon Lake Texas, and San Antonio. He then spent 5 years in emergency medicine in south Texas, as well as Southeast Asia. After his varied career, Dr. Narurkar joined Deerfield as Medical Director in April of 2023. His interests included surgery, oncology, and preventative medicine. He has a keen interest in helping train the next generation of veterinarians and works closely with SVP's externs and new graduate programs.
Outside of the hospital Dr. Narurkar is an avid cyclist, skier, and hiker. He lives in the heart of San Antonio with his wife Belinda, and his daughter Natalie when she visits from Seattle, and has 3 dogs and a cat that wandered off the streets and made themselves comfortable.
